If you’re an entrepreneur, I’m sure you’re no stranger to the 3am wakeups where you’re laying there wondering when your next client is coming in, and dreading the thought of needing to go back to corporate America. All while your heart is racing a million miles an hour.
Ouf. Just typing that brings me back to the early days. 🤪
Well, lucky for you I have a really cool and effective exercise I channeled today while I was prepping for one of my Natural Manifester Group Program sessions and I want to share it with you!
Alrighty – get comfy!
First, I want you to close your eyes and take a few deep breaths.
Once it feels good, allow your breath to return to its natural state and invite your fears, anxieties, and worries about your business to come forward. Every single one. Feel the feeling of them deep in your body. Make note of where you feel it in your body.
Don’t be afraid of this step – it’s super important.
Once those emotions are there, sit with them.
Yep, just sit there and let them marinate in your body like a piece of freakin’ steak.
Give yourself at least 2-3 minutes to feel these worries, anxieties, and stressors.
Next, give that anxious, stressed-out feeling a funny character name. Go with the first character that comes to you.
For example, when I did this exercise, “Squidward” from SpongeBob was the first thing that popped into my mind.
So boooom, Squidward it was.
When I think about Squidward, my immediate memories are watching Spongebob with my sisters back in the day.
I have no hard feelings toward Squidward and he certainly doesn’t trigger my nervous system, unlike fear (see where I’m going with this 😉).
By labeling your anxiety with a funny, ridiculous character, you diminish its power.
Whenever you feel that stress creeping in, you can say, “Ah, this is just Squidward coming in, no big deal.”
This trick helps your subconscious stop alerting your nervous system that there’s a danger (and if you watched my 28-minute training on how important your nervous system is to manifestation – you know how crucial this is!!!)
Why is a calm nervous system important? Because you can only manifest what your nervous system feels calm around.
When your subconscious stops perceiving business stress and fear as a threat, it becomes SO much easier to attract positive outcomes!
This simple shift is an easy and effective way to rewire your brain, calm your nervous system, and manifest success in your business.
