Do you have a goal you want to achieve you just haven’t mustered up the motivation to do it? Maybe it’s starting a business, or putting a plan together to bust out of your 9-5, lose weight, etc.
The idea sounds great in your head, but getting yourself to take action seems impossible.
You’ve dreamed of writing a book or starting your own business to live life on your terms or have a side hustle that you’re trying to turn into a full-time business.
But something’s stopping you from taking action.
Here’s the thing guys.
Leaders are readers.
Plain and simple. If you want to be that 1% who takes massive action towards their goals and knocks them out of the park, read! Easy as that. Immerse yourself in books. And not just any old book. Find books that challenge and push you.
Find your role model’s books and read them. If they don’t have a book, find out what books they’ve read in their life that helped shape them into the person they are today. Success leaves clues, so find people who are living the life you want to live and read their books. Learn how they got to where they are in life and take action to do the same.
I’ve been crazy about reading lately, so I’ve rounded up the five books that have been life-changing for me.
I promise to always be transparent with you guys. The links to the books are affiliate links, which means if you purchase, I’ll get a small commission. This is of no extra charge. Just think of it like a little referral bonus for me so I can keep buying books and sharing my faves with you!
Now that we got that out of the way, let’s get to the good stuff. ??
Everything is Figureoutable changed the way I view unfavorable circumstances that happen in my life. When Erik and I were both going through a challenging time professionally, my mindset the entire time was, “We can figure this out. We have the power to figure this out. Let’s take it day by day and figure it out along the way.”
Marie’s personality shines through this book, which makes it so much more fun to indulge in. It’s an easy read and encourages you to write out your fears, the worst-case scenarios, and your next steps. I found this to be helpful.
If you have anxiety, this book is for you. Each page of this book resonated with me, and it’s one of my go-to gifts for my friends who are going through a season of life that’s unknown. Amber encourages you to choose wonder and curiosity over worry and anxiety throughout your journey in life. This book is guaranteed to change your viewpoint on fear and equip you with the mindset to accomplish anything you want.
Marie recommended this book in Everything is Figureoutable, and after reading it, I see why. Bronnie worked in palliative care and shared the top 5 common regrets she heard from her patients over the years.
If you’re on the fence about achieving your goals, this book is for you. After reading it, I bet you’ll do everything in your power not to have the same regrets as Bronnie’s patients did.
If you need a kick in the pants, this one is for you girlfriend.
If you lack motivation, Rachel will energize you throughout this book. I needed to hear every single word she wrote back when I had the idea for my business. I was on the fence, had self-doubt, and tried talking myself out of starting it. I felt like I could accomplish anything in the world after reading this.
If you haven’t heard of Dean before, please Google him. He’s one of my role models, and his advice and expertise is one-of-a-kind. This book will take you from where you are in life to where you want to be. Take my word for it.
I’d love to hear what books you choose to read! Find me on Instagram @gabriellelaura and DM me to let me know!
