I want to talk about the signs it’s time to pivot in your coaching business because it’s SO important that you’re conscious of these signs and know what to do if you’re experiencing them.
I’m going to start this off by saying THERE IS NO SHAME IN PIVOTING!! If you are experiencing these signs, don’t stress. Take action.
Remember – pivoting is a sign of growth, and growth is a beautiful thing to experience.
Here are the 3 signs that it’s time to pivot in your coaching business and 3 things you can do today if you’re feeling the urge to shake things up:
1. You’re starting to dread calls with your clients.
You know that feeling when you start brainstorming reasons why you have to reschedule. 🤣
Or when you’re on the phone and the minutes passing feel like hours?
Yep – that’s a pretty solid indicator that you’re out of alignment with your current clients.
If you are dreading your client calls, that’s a problem. Your clients invest in you so they can get results. If something if feeling slightly off, you owe it to yourself and to them to get down to the bottom of it.
2. You’re not being consistent with your marketing strategy
You start to drop the ball on posting.
You went from posting every few days to once every other week.
Creating content feels like the biggest chore and you dread it, so you just stop doing it.
This is a massive indicator. If you’re struggling to come up with content that is going to resonate with your audience, it likely means that you aren’t super in-tune with your dream customer.
When you’re in-tune with your dream customer, you’ll be able to easily brain-dump content ideas and get inspired.
Pro-tip: Timeblock 2-hour increments in your calendar at a time to batch your content. It makes content creation a million times easier!
3. You’re lacking overall clarity
You are struggling to see the bigger vision of your business and where it’s going.
You stopped creating goals for your business.
You’re feeling, well, uninspired.
Having clarity and alignment in your coaching biz is crucial. It will make selling out your programs a billion times easier.
If you’re feeling the need to pivot, here’s what you can do:
1. Release the shame the pivoting is “bad” or that you shouldn’t do it.
You should 100% always be in alignment with your business and if pivoting helps you get there, then go all in!!
Just like I said in the beginning, there is no shame. Pivoting is normal. It’s natural.
I pivoted 392839203 times in my business before it clicked and once it does click, your business will hit the ground running and everything will start falling into place.
2. Get super curious about what you direction you want to pivot.
The answers are always within us. Get quiet with yourself and brain dump into your journal.
Listen to your intuition and follow your curiosities. If you find yourself curious about something, explore it!! I can’t stress that enough.
Look at who your role models are
- What do you like about them?
- Is there anything you admire?
- What can you mirror?
- What do you like about their business?
3. Think back on your story & your transformational experiences
Alignment and clarity come when you breakdown your story and pinpoint specific moments that changed you.
Who does your story resonate with? How can your story help someone?
I always encourage people to be their own dream customer. Think back to an experience where you were really struggling. What did that person look like? THAT could be your dream customer.
If you are struggling with niching down and finding your “sweet spot,” my superpower is being able to hear someone’s story and extract their profitable niche in about 3-5 minutes.
I do it almost every single day with my clients.
I had my first session with a 3-month client the other day who was on the verge of tears because she finally found her sweet spot after YEARS of trying and I cannot even explain to you how much joy that gives me.
