If you’re struggling with your new coaching business, there is a 99.9% chance you’re not aligned in your coaching niche.
I swear by niche alignment and clarity in your business.
I can’t tell you the number of coaches who have come to me struggling and once we nailed their niche, everything fell into place for them.
They were booking high-paying clients, easily creating content, and could see a future in their business.
That vision comes from alignment.
Most programs and coaches tell you that “your niche will come as you start booking clients” but how do you start booking clients without knowing who you’re talking to or what your coaching business even is?!
Alignment is your key to success.
Pivoting means you’ve grown out of what was once aligned and into a new phase of alignment. I think that’s a beautiful thing.
Pivoting isn’t easy. You may have to start back at square 1, but it is crucial to your success.
When you feel the urge to pivot, don’t ignore it.
This is where a lot of new coaches miss the mark. I was one of them myself!
We are taught to start by “figuring out who we want to target” and “who our ICA is,” but how can we know that if we don’t know what we are actually coaching on and feel super grounded in that?!
The riches are in the niches! I would also add that alignment equals riches but that doesn’t rhyme .
Having clarity in WHAT your business is will then lead you to WHO you serve and HOW you serve them.
It’s truly your bread and butter.
The first question I always ask my niche intensive clients is “what’s your story.”
Hearing their story allows me to extract their profitable niche. It is absolutely begging to be brought to life.
You’ve been through a transformational experience in your life before. Chances are you can turn that transformational experience into a thriving business. THAT is where the alignment and clarity come from.
Those are two very different things and the latter is where you want to be.
Here’s an example.
Let’s say you’re a great writer. You got straight A’s in English classes in high school/college. You know you’re good at it so you decide to become a copywriting coach because that seems like the logical thing.
But you LOVE couponing. Absolutely love it! You barely spend any money when you shop because of your couponing skills and nothing lights you up more than helping people save their money through couponing.
You think you should stick with copywriting because you’ve seen copywriting coaches and know there’s a market for it, but you don’t really put your all into it because it just doesn’t light you up that much.
Couponing on the other hand excites you so much.
Imagine how much more full your life would be if you could find a way to become a profitable couponing coach and how much of an impact you could make on other people’s lives?
The alignment is within couponing. That’s where this person would see the most success.
One’s the aligned niche, one’s a niche.
It’s so important to make sure your niche falls under the aligned category.
