These posts are my absolute favorite!
Today is my birthday and each year on my birthday I share a number of things I learned that year.
Here are 28 things I’ve learned since turning 28 years old:
You only have one and you’ve it for the rest of your life. Talk to it nicely, it’s doing the best it can and is absolutely beautiful the way it is.
Don’t have exceedingly high expectations for your body if you’re not going to take care of it. Move it and nourish it daily, you won’t regret it.
Shout out to Dyson.
9.9 times out of 10 the timeline doesn’t go as planned and you end up disappointed. You are exactly where you’re meant to be and like they say, patience is a virtue.
Sometimes the best thing you can do for yourself is the polar opposite of what people tell you to do. Look for the answers within and follow your gut. Always. It will never steer you wrong.
Be mindful of this, and extra mindful of who you tell your dreams to.
Enjoy that moment. It really is the little things.
Often times we run away from our story trying to create a new one for ourselves. What if you could use your story to change other’s people’s lives WHILE creating a new one for yourself?
It’s usually something you never even imagined happening that ruins your day. Preserve your energy, don’t waste it worrying about things that very likely will never happen.
Your story is your story. Your life is YOUR life. Not theirs.
I can guarantee you if you try to copy what someone else is doing in their business, you’re going to burn out because it isn’t aligned with who you are at your core.
Sit with yourself quietly and ask yourself, “what do I want my life to look like? What do I want my business to look like? What do I want to be known for?” Then, follow that path.
It’s you vs. you all the time.
Invest in yourself and treat your mind, body and soul wisely.
Don’t run from the answer. Avoidance is a form of resistance. Honor yourself by being true to yourself.
No exceptions!!
I promise.
If you’re not, you are wasting your time.
It means you’re brave and I applaud you.
Take that to heart and ALWAYS have it in the back of your mind.
If you are chasing after your dreams while everyone else in your group is laughing at them, find a new group.
You won’t regret it and I cannot physically describe the amount of joy it will bring to your life.
You may not see it in the moment, but don’t stop searching for it.
Okay, maybe a cold shower after the beach but you get my point.
You don’t have to wait until you’re 65 to live your life. We live in a time now where you don’t have to work a 9-5 anymore.
You can build your life around work instead of live a life where you’re chained to a desk and have 48 hours a weekend to relax.
No risk = no reward
Don’t forget to let your hair down and laugh
It will end one day, just enjoy it.
If you don’t know what fills your cup, dig deep!
Instead of saying “I can’t do this,” start asking yourself, “how can I do this?”
Break it down into bite-size action steps, get disciplined and watch yourself excel.
Trust it and know you’re always being guided.
Find people you align with and invest and outsource.
