Make sure this freebie segways into what you teach in your high-ticket program. You want to get your dream customer’s wheels turning while you start building your “expert” factor.
For instance, my high-ticket program takes new coaches from $0 to 10k months so my freebie is all about “how to hit 10k consistent months as a coach.” This gives my dream customer the information they need, but also gets them to say, “I need more of this.”
Research FB groups that are relevant to your niche – this is key!! Make sure these groups allow promo, otherwise you’ll get kicked out and that’s never fun.
If you’re in the business coaching space, two Facebook Groups that I love to promote my freebie is:
Can’t emphasize making sure these groups are relevant to your niche enough. This only works if your dream customers are in the group and sign up for your freebie.
Give them a link to your freebie opt-in page where they’ll need to input their emails. You can publicly link the opt-in page, or you can let the person know that you send them the link via Messenger and to check their messages.
A/B test this to see which works best for you. I personally do both, but going the Messenger route has been most successful for me.
Having a strong welcome sequence is really important here. Don’t just send them the freebie, use this as an opportunity to let your new subscribers know who you are, why you’re in this space, and how they can work with you.
I have a 5-part welcome sequence, this may or may not work for you but if you’re curious in testing it out, here are the details:
Email 1 → Send them the freebie with a short and sweet note letting them know this is what they signed up for and where to access it.
Email 2 → Resend the freebie to make sure they read it.
Email 3 → Tell them your story. Let them get to know you. Why are you in this space? What’s your background? What’s your journey been like? How can they relate to you?
Email 4 → Send them value, value, value and let them know how they can work with you. This is the email where I start promoting my 3-month program and adding in applications to work 1:1 with me.
Email 5 → Tell them about your program and where they will be once they’re done working with you. Sell the transformation and add links to your application.
Keep an eye out to see if they follow you. Start a spreadsheet and keep yourself organized here. If they follow you – that means they want to be hearing more from you. Get on stories, post consistently, and stay present.
This is why it’s so important to speak DIRECTLY to your dream customer. Answer their questions through your content and work on building that trust factor.
You’ve already got them hooked. They want to hear more about what you have to say. Don’t leave them hanging!
Just because you are attracting clients doesn’t mean you have to wait for them to come to you. Follow up with them – ask if how they liked your freebie and if they have any questions you can answer. Send them value! Act like they’re in a paid session with you.
